About Us

The enjoyment and satisfaction of seeing something dirty turn into something clean led to the start of Great Lakes Pressure Cleaning (GLPC).  Founder and president Kevin James took a passion for cleaning, along with a family history in the car wash industry and started GLPC in March of 1998.

In the beginning Kevin and one employee began pressure cleaning anything that needed to be cleaned.  After experimenting and learning different applications, the focus of the business became fleet washing (year round) and deck cleaning and staining (seasonal). 

Kevin’s brother Steve joined the team in 2005.  Steve brought a resume of sales experience and innovative ideas to help launch the business forward.  Together the James brothers have created a company that emphasizes service and delivers on the product.

Over the years the demand for their services has grown. 2008 marks the debut of their new retail outlet "The Stain Shop". This new division of the business allows The Stain Shop to offer both services and products to their clients. All of these things combine to make The Stain Shop Michigan's market leader in the pressure cleaning industry.
